Episode 46: NFL Blitz (1997)

In this week’s episode, Nicky and Eric huddle up to give a rundown on the history of NFL Blitz.  NFL Blitz is an American football video game developed and published by Midway Games for the arcade in 1997, the first game in the NFL Blitz series. The game diverges from traditional rules of football in that there are no penalties, no substitutions, and players can perform illegal attacks on each other such as dropkicks and body slams.  The game was ported to the PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Windows, and Game Boy Color in 1998.

Great job “tackling” this game. Never was much for sports games though, outside of Wii Sports if that counts. I like how you incorporated the NFL jingle into the rap!

Thanks! I couldn’t find much music from Blitz, so I went with a basic football thing.
